Exporting to Turkey — Turkish-language labels and ministry import checks

Food entering Turkey must comply with the Turkish Food Codex and passes an import conformity check by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry — the importer files an import notification and needs a conformity decision before distribution.

Turkish-language labeling is mandatory (sticker labels are accepted). Halal certification is not a legal requirement, but with a predominantly Muslim population it is effectively expected by retailers and consumers.

For noodles and ready meals, meat content — especially pork-derived ingredients — complicates both clearance and market acceptance, so Turkey-bound SKUs are usually formulated meat-free from the start.
